Founder's Hall

JW Lees's showcase pub in the city centre, named for the brewery's founder. The full Lees range on cask and keg, including the Boilerhouse small-batch beers that don't get far beyond Middleton, in a big, polished room behind King Street.

A family brewery rather than an independent in the craft sense, but if you want to understand what Manchester drank for 150 years, this is the place.
