Rivington Brewing Co

Breweries&Tap Rooms

Rivington Brewing Co was started in 2014 by Ben Stubbs and Mike Richardson on Home Farm, Horrobin Lane, at the foot of Rivington Pike in the Lancashire countryside. They have grown from home brewing into one of the region's best-regarded hop-focused breweries, making pale ales and IPAs alongside lagers, stouts, fruited sours and barrel-aged beers. Never Known Fog Like It is the pale most people know them for.

About Rivington Brewing Co

Rivington Brewing Co was started in 2014 by Ben Stubbs and Mike Richardson on Home Farm, Horrobin Lane, at the foot of Rivington Pike in the Lancashire countryside. They have grown from home brewing into one of the region's best-regarded hop-focused breweries, making pale ales and IPAs alongside lagers, stouts, fruited sours and barrel-aged beers. Never Known Fog Like It is the pale most people know them for.

The taproom opened in 2019 in a converted stable block on the farm. Up to three handpumps and around twenty keg lines pour the latest releases and collaborations, with cider and lager too. Outside, a large garden with covered seating looks across Lower Rivington Reservoir towards Winter Hill. Street food comes from rotating local vendors, families and dogs are welcome, and there is parking and a campsite on the farm. Tables cannot be booked, so just turn up. The brewery also runs walking, cycling and running clubs and holds its Farm Fest beer festival each August, which makes it a good stop after a walk up the Pike.
