The station pub that gave Manchester the idea that a pint before a train could be a good one. A short, well-chosen keg list, a couple of cask pumps and a proper lager, all on the approach to Piccadilly so you can watch the departures board from your stool.

No food beyond crisps, no fuss, and open from the morning. The original of the three Taps, and still the busiest.
