Seven Bro7hers was started in 2014 by seven Salford brothers, the McAvoys, who picked up the habit from their dad's home brewing, and this was the first bar they opened. It sits on Blossom Street in Ancoats, in the old Ice Plant building, and spreads over two floors. Downstairs, wooden panelling and shelving meet bare red brick, and tables and Chesterfield sofas face a stage that gets used for live music.

The taps are given over to the brewery's own beer, made across town near MediaCity: Honeycomb pale ale, Easy and Juicy IPAs, a Helles lager, a pilsner and a Chocolate Honeycomb Stout, with the fridges and a spirits list for anyone after something else. The kitchen is back in the family's hands, turning out burgers, gyros and bar snacks, and dogs are welcome. It is a relaxed, unfussy place to try Salford-brewed beer without leaving the Ancoats bar crawl, and tables can be booked online.
