Prairie Schooner Taphouse

An independent micropub and off-licence on Flixton Road, in a former shop but bigger than the label suggests, with two seating areas either side of an island bar. Four changing cask ales, eight keg lines and over 200 chilled cans and bottles, from local breweries to Cantillon, Chimay, Schneider and Augustiner. It has been a LocAle Pub of the Year for its CAMRA branch twice.

Quizzes on Monday (music) and Tuesday (general knowledge), board games, cards and dominoes, and backgammon on the third Wednesday. A covered area at the front, an accessible ground-floor toilet with a portable ramp, dogs on leads and children until 6pm. Open every day, from 3pm on Monday.
