Chorlton Tap

Chorlton Tap is a neighbourhood bar at 533 Wilbraham Road in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, liked by locals as a proper boozer with a serious beer list. Four cask lines change constantly and sit alongside well over a dozen craft keg taps, with beers from local micros and bigger independent breweries further afield chalked up on the blackboards. Bag-in-box ciders, and sometimes a perry, come from the cool box.

It is an easy place to settle in. There is a garden terrace, a real fire for colder nights, board games such as chess and backgammon, and a quiz every Monday. Dogs are welcome, and so are families until early evening. Nora's Kitchen runs the food, with wood-fired pizzas at weekends, Sunday roasts that have their own following, and a monthly tasting menu.
